The international Graduate Program Turns 15!
Founded in France in 2004, evolving all over Europe in 2007, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s now truly “International” Graduate Program (IGP) turns 15 this Autumn. The initiative is a testimony to our longstanding commitment to attract the best talent and offer exciting career opportunities.
An attractive professional track with an efficient onboarding path, the IGP provides a unique opportunity for recent graduates to learn about our business and approach to commercial real estate, as well as build a network to prepare their future careers. Participants, known as IGPs, complete at least three assignments in Europe and four assignments in the US—including one abroad from their home country, an experience that further embeds the Group’s business fundamentals. The track lasts 12 to 14 months in Europe and up to 18 months in the US. Overseas missions for participants are on a 6-month basis. Thanks to this well-rounded path, IGPs quickly develop core business skills and expertise through close mentorship, a week-long seminar, and exposure to the Group’s various business lines.
The IGP was precursor at the time of its launch as few other companies offered similar programmes. In the last 15 years, we have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of brilliant IGPs from all countries we operate in, and play a part in shaping their careers.
At the end of September, to celebrate this anniversary, an event in Paris gathered around 40 former IGPs—some still within the Group, some in new positions outside the Group—kickstarting the creation of a Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Alumni section in France.
