On the move: URW joins the Mobility Club
Our destinations welcome 1.2bn visits each year, making transportation and connectivity strategic topics for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. As part of its Better Places 2030 strategy, the Group aims to reduce carbon emissions from transport by 50% compared to 2015. Our goal is for 75% of our visitors to use sustainable transport to visit our centres.
To stay ahead of the curve and achieve these objectives, we anticipate new modes of sustainable mobility. Our dedicated innovation ecosystem sources new ideas and solutions, building strong and successful partnerships to explore new trends.
With this in mind, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield joined Via ID’s Mobility Club for a year, to better understand how urban mobility is being transformed, and to prepare for future changes.
Via ID is a business accelerator with a focus on new forms of mobility. It is at the centre of a global ecosystem that connects key players and stakeholders to accelerate their mobility projects. Via ID has invested in many successful start-ups such as Drivy or Heetch. It recently launched the Mobility Club to connect large corporates to the ecosystem of new mobilities and Smart City start-ups.
Other partners include Transdev, Bridgestone, Europcar Mobility Group, Shell, Renault Nissan Mitsubishi, Egis, and more.
